There is always something special going on in Sandpoint!


January

Schweitzer Northern Lights Celebration - Family-friendly events include Torchlight Parade and fireworks show.


USASA Races - Schweitzer hosts two-day United States of America Snowboard Association competition which includes alpine and slopestyle events for both snowboarders and skiers.


February

Sandpoint Winter Carnival -  Annual celebration includes family-friendly winter events including Ski Joring at the fairgrounds, K-9 Keg Pull, Rail Jam and more.


March

The Follies - Angels over Sandpoint host charitable fundraiser in the Panida, featuring zany acts.  The show is not for the easily offended.


April 

K & K Fishing Derby -   The end of April to early May, Lake Pend O'reille Idaho Club hosts an annual spring fishing contest.  Huge Lake Trout to catch for big prize money; prizes for young and old.  Last year's winner was a 35.5" Macinaw Lake Trout weighing 18 lbs!


May

Lost In The 50's - One of the largest classic car events in North Idaho, kicks off with a parade Friday night, and car viewings on Saturday & Sunday.  A dance at the Fairgrounds & more! 










June 

Art Walk - hosted by Pend O'reille Art Council (POAC)  A revolving art display at different shops downtown from June to September. 


Battle of the Bulls - Annual bull riding and barrel racing contest at the Bonner County Fairgrounds.


Summer Sampler -  Taste fine cuisine from area restaurants, plus enjoy cook-offs and live music. 


July

Fourth of July Celebration - Sandpoint Lions Club sponsors parades downtown in the morning; stage performances and a raffle follow at City Beach in the afternoon, plus a fireworks show at dusk.


Classic Boat Festival - Classic wooden boats, water-themed activities, contests and more along Sand Creek.


Special Events

August

The Festival At Sandpoint  – Sit on the lawn at Memorial Field with a cool beverage and enjoy internationally renowned musicians such as Cake, Indigo Girls, Roseanne Cash, The Spokane Symphony, Steve Miller Band  just to name a few.


Wings Over Sandpoint Fly-In –  Regional pilots fly into Sandpoint Airport and hold a breakfast and aircraft display.



 







Arts & Crafts Fair –  A juried art exhibit at Sandpoint City Beach, with artists’ booths, kids' activities and more.

 

Bonner County Fair,  Rodeo, and Demolition Derby – Rodeo fun for everyone, followed by a week at the Bonner County 4-H fair, ending the following weekend with a smash-m-up car demolition derby.  


September

Idaho Draft Horse and Mule International – The Northwest's largest draft horse and mule expo at the Bonner County Fairgrounds.


Harvest Party – Pend d'Oreille Winery's event with family-friendly activities, food sampling, wine tasting and live music.


Pend O’reille Cup – Annual soccer tournament held at Travers Park and soccer fields with teams from Canada, WA, MT and ID.


Scenic Half –  A half marathon, plus 10k and 5k fun runs. 


 WaCanId Ride – A  340-mile/550-kilometer bicycle loop touring Washington, Idaho and Canada  called the WaCanId Ride.

Oktoberfest – Downtown celebration with live music and food

K & K Thanksgiving Fishing Derby – Big $$ prizes for winners.

 

December

Holidays in Sandpoint – Tree lighting ceremony and caroling opens the holiday season in Sandpoint.
